Penn and Teller Join The Marvel Universe

Marvel has announced that an upcoming Spider-Man/Deadpool story will be written by Penn Jillette. Penn will pen Spider-Man/Deadpool #11. The issue will star the two superheroes and will also feature Jillette and his longtime comedy magic partner, Teller. You read that right, not only will the comic include Spiderman and Deadpool but it will also star Penn and Teller.

If the cover is any indication, this story may team Spider-Man with the always silent Teller, while the always talkative Deadpool will get paired with Jillette.

Spider-Man and Deadpool don’t always get along, but they’ve been a great comedy duo in the Spider-Man/Deadpool series written by Joe Kelley. Now, Kelley is going to take the November issue off which will allow guest-writer Penn Jillette to introduce Spidey and Deadpool to Penn and Teller

In 1999, Jillette was joined by artist Renée French on the one-shot comic book, The Adventures of Rheumy Peepers and Chunky Highlights; which was published by Oni Press.

Ironically, Penn and Teller: Fool Us is currently running on The CW, where the pair share the airwaves with DC’s pantheon of costumed heroes, including Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
